What older all mode radios are worth a look? Is $500 not enough? Or can I get a bit cheaper on say a ts 440?

FWIW,... there is a 757 WITH a power supply for abt $425 on QTH right now,........... no, I don't have any financial interest in it

BEWARE the TS-440 have some issues with the glue used on the main board. Many have dots on the screen due to the glue becoming charged!

... actually, when the insulation gets old,what really happens, due to heat swings, is that the output of VCO5 (I think) varies and the PLL unlocks.

they can be repaired, if you have a steady hand and some spare time
