OK i have a cobra 29 nwst(don't tell anybody). I got a mfj 259b analyzer and hooked it up to my little will antenna OK here;'s the problem as im cutting the antenna to get the swr lower the x is going up here's what i have right now i stopped before i went any further.

channel 1 =1.7

channel 40=2.7

R=around 35

X=0

NOW

channel 1=1.4

channel 40=1.8

R=38

X=9

reading 40 ohms on meter didn't read it first time

Is this a problem should i relocate my antenna or ground it better.

Thnx for the help or should i just get a real antenna?

Forgot to add 2003 corolla on the roof not trunk.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
