Used in a Maco 300 2x5 8950s. There are diodes inside that the schematic calls hep 170. What do you replace them with? In this instance, it's used to rectify filament voltage, along with a 220uf 25v cap and 470 ohm resistor. Connected to the driver grids. Spec says they're 1000PIV, 2.5 AMP axial rectifier diode. Is that peak inverse voltage critical here or can I use a 1n5406?

Original diode shorted I think, blowing the stuffing out of the grid bias filter cap.

Fun times.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
