Looking to build a Beam antenna, was wondering if anyone had ever used 102 whips to build a small homebrew beam antenna. any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

I'm sure someone, somewhere has done so. I'm also sure that it wouldn't be all that 'good' a thing to do, there are just too many other things that wouldn't weigh as much (just one aspect of it). Happen to have a few 102" whips laying around doing nothing? Then why not. They're going to be just a bit too short so figure some way to make them longer. Not an unreasonable way of doing it, just not the most practical in all cases.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
