Homemade CB tranceiver

The obvious question would be "why spend all that time building a single channel transceiver"?

I will let someone else post the even more obvious answer.
 
because he can , many things are done for that reason . some good , some bad some WTF ??

I remember building my first Heathkit transceiver as a small boy.

When I powered it up for the first time and it worked, you would have thought I had invented sliced white bread! :laugh:

i felt that way when i made my first antenna :thumbup:

I built many of them and Knightkit too one of my first CB was a HEATHKIT !

Sounds like a warm fuzzy, I had the same feeling when I built my first SB-220.

i remember trying to put together a kit when i was in grade school.

my mother came by and asked me if i knew what i was doing - i replied "why start now?"

me = :D

I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
