Horz Omni 10m

Anyone play with a horz Omni loop and gain anything? Right now I’m using a horz delta and a Astro plane vertical on different radios. I notice I hear less beacon rolling atmosphere crap on the delta over the astroplane. But what advantage would I really gain over building a Omni 10m loop? Edit: for local coms

Your Horizontal Delta loop is an omni. Can't see any advantage to building a square loop to do the same thing.

I built a horizontal 11 meter full wavelength loop and it was insanely noisy....even worse than my Antron 99. The horizontal delta loop I run now is very quiet by comparison. So while they are both loops, one is much quieter than the other for some reason.

You only mentioned 10m in your OP, not 80 thru 6. A 10m monoband horizontal Delta doesn't require the South 40 in real estate

Didn’t even consider it. I use a big delta. They just use 10/11m so was thinking about a wire loop for 10/11 at their house. Cheap small easy
