How would one go installing a variable key........I do not like the assinine 2 position hi/low switch and want a true variable.

True variable huh ? IM really not to familure with the G-Lee but I would guess to say it has a hi and low VR for power ?? A lot of guys really seem to like variables on there radios , I personally like the hi/low switches . They tend to keep me out of harms way. I run my amp 99% of the time anyway , there's a whole lot less guess work when it comes to the hi/low switches , in other words ,I know what by amp likes best so that's what the switch is set at on the low side of the radio , there are a few to many variables to a variable  on most , and if it were me , I would have mine set low all the way down (for my amps concerns) Hi for a barefoot situation but there's still a lot in between that would more then likely not be best for my amps concerns and I can throw the guess work out the window when it come to hi/low switches..........You see what IM trying to get at here ? IM sure there is a way to have what you want Psycho ........IM just a fan of the hi/low switches , they just tend to keep me where I need to be without any quess work in between.

Go to CB tricks.com and click on the radio section link. Click on the letter G which will bring up the Galaxy radio section. Then click on Galaxy DX radio and pull up the info for a 33/44. They are the same basic radio in side and all of the tuning tips they list are the same as you would use for a Gen lee. You may be able to find more info on this mod also.

If it were me i would just set the low power key a 3 or 4 watts and the high key at 10 and forget the Variable key thing. I know its not me but im just trying to help so good luck!
