HOW DO YOU CLEAN A DAK IX , X CHANNEL SELECTOR SWITCH, ITS SEALED

Any thoughts on how to clean the selector. I have a Dak IX that must be shut off each time you place it on a channel and than turned on again to get the channel to receive. This has to be done every time you change a channel. When on a channel if you slightly turn the channel selector switch its stops receiving until you turn the set off and than on again. Sometimes you have to turn it off and on 2 or 3 times before it starts receiving. I'm thinking this sealed switch is dirty. HOW TO CLEAN? Has anyone done this? Would there be another answer to this. Receives excellently when working and transmits great also! Any thoughts??? Thanks Ron

Personally I think its in the power supply and not the switch but time will tell. Ron

If it is completely sealed; then no dirt has fouled its contacts.
Time to buy and use a new switch . . .

Dak ix & x that I saw years ago seemed to all have vco problems, that is where I would start.

To me they are a BIG, pretty radio but when they start to show problems they just keep coming and coming......
