Im curious as to how impressive the signal increase will be when changing combo's as follows


dead key 90 swing to 250

upgrade deadkey 250 swing to 700


Hoping to make a noticable increase on the AM band.

its a 4.5dB increase in signal.

(easy to figure it by converting to dBm)

Not dBm - that's a reference based on 1 milliwatt.

From 90 to 250 watts = 4.4 dB.

From 250 watts to 700 watts = 4.5 dB.

And from 90 to 700 watts, you just add these two figures and you get 8.9 dB, which agrees with the "long" way of solving, via the logarithms.
