He produced another 2600 in rough shape that had a good final. I took it out and put it in the chipswitched 2600 that got recapped, rewound toroids, glue removed and it went well. At 100% modulation I get about 20 watts AM with dk set at 5 (I did the vari dk mod on the swr knob {1-10} per rogerbird). Ssb sees nearly 40 watts pep. Bias set perfectly. Aligned it and gonna talk on it for a few days to make sure it stays right.
