Has anyone experienced when after xmiting on the above radio and release of the mic button the receive on the radio is not full, you can hear the stations but they are low in audio, and pressing the mic button a few times the receive audio returns to normal..Any comments or suggestions

Ide resolder the wires on the mic plug cold or bad solder joints do this. I know that a bad connection on the SO239 connector on the back of the radio can cause this like bad coax or the PL259 coax connector isnt sitting right in one radio from one rado to the next for some reason. Ivwe seen weird BS like this from time to time unexplainable but thats the wonderful world of radio. My guess is bad solder though. Anyways let us know what you come up with for a cure.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
