I forgot to purchase a charger for my VX6r. so insted of waiting all week for a charger to get here i have quiet a few wallwart chargers in a box. i found the correct adapter and i found a wallwart that puts out: 15.160vdc @ 300mW is this okay to charge my HT and battery?? or is the voltage too high? I dont plan on using the HT while its plugged in...

Question #1: What is the battery voltage supposed to be? 15.16 volts is likely too high to use. It will drop under load but not that much usually. Unless the battery is a 12 volt unit.

Question #2: Who sells an HT without a battery charger? I never saw or heard of that one before.

Look real close.

Lol I made a charger 9.5vdc @ 500mA or 0.5A

It might take longer to charge (trickle) but thats okay. I baught the vx6r for $100 everything but the charger.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
