A few cents off

Here's a pic of my TRC-428 Ninescan
Simulated wood grain on face
I got dibs on a 421a&422a on Ebay. They're supposed to be NOS
By the lack of info on the 428 it's obvious that's not a popular radio but I liked it.

I have a TRC-427 new in the box at home. In-laws owned it and never used it. Father in law used to work for Radio Shack and saw that I was into radio and gave it to me.

Sweet!
I'm looking at the adjacent channel rejection at 10 kHz on the pic of the radios I posted.

Rat Shack always was proud of their stuff. My first-ever rig was a TRC 30 (NOT a 30A) that went for 159.95. Adding in 12.95 for the 1/4 wave antenna and a few more bucks for coax, connectors and taxes, it took an entire summer of paper routes to save up for it.
