i have a general lee 2009 era

i traded my texas ranger fts-127 for a general lee.. finals we're blown got them replaced
now i was told it don't transmit has red LEDS

First thing I would do is try a different mic and make sure the band selector is set right. After that take it back to the shop that "replaced" your finals and have them fix it right.

a friend installed them he knew what he was doing.. he rewired his guitar amp to make it sound better the mike he gave me was fine

Plug an external speaker into PA jack on the back of the radio, flip the switch on the front to PA. If the PA function works, your mic and audio section are probably ok. Check this first.
