Hi, Im looking for a decent 10/11 meter radio that has a front mic connection to install in my Kenworth , I have a galaxy99 but with the side mic hookup I cant fit it where it would go. Im looking to spend around 250. SSB is a must for the 10 meter. I appreciate any responses Thanks, Lou

If i read correctly, Big Dog said he would like a radio with FRONT MIC CONNECTION. The radio suggested (Omega Force) has a side mic connection.
Correct but even more correct then that is that it has both sides for a microphone and might meet his needs but not likely.
You're gonna hear the RCI-2950/2970 suggested many times and for good reason, it's a tried and true performer and near your price range.

ThanksThe Ranger RCI-2950 is a 10 and 12 meter radio if Im not mistaken I need something with 11 meters as well as 10 when working. CB for road stuff and 10 meters for entertainment. Thanks
You might also look at the New Magnum 257HP. Front mic, 80 watts, and CPU controlled for SSB stability. They can be had ready to go for 219-249 usually.

The magnum is smaller and possibly easier to use in the car and I think sounds better on SSB. Doesn't cover 12m but then there ain't a lot on 12m anyway!
Don't forget the fan on the heatsink fins.
