and radio wiring is

Pin #1 ~ Microphone Audio / White
Pin #2 ~ Receive / Black
Pin #3 ~ Transmit / Red
Pin #4 ~ Down(Up w/22K Ohm Resistor) / Blue
Pin #5 ~ Ground / Shield w/yellow sleeve
Pin #6 ~ +13.8VDC / Brown

cheers for that..nice one :D

are you sure this is correct though?

Pin #1 ~ Microphone Audio / White
Pin #2 ~ Receive / Black
Pin #3 ~ Transmit / Red
Pin #4 ~ Down(Up w/22K Ohm Resistor) / Blue
Pin #5 ~ Ground / Shield w/yellow sleeve
Pin #6 ~ +13.8VDC / Brown

from what i can gather it should be...

Pin #1 ~ Microphone Audio / White
Pin #2 ~ Receive / Black
Pin #3 ~ Transmit / Blue
Pin #4 ~ N/C
Pin #5 ~ Ground / Shield w/Red
Pin #6 ~ +13.8VDC / No Wire

am i getting this wrong? because when i insert the plug, the radio goes quiet, and the tx sign comes on,but with no modulation!
i'm beginning to think that this combination is not going to work

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
