Prices of used equipment is out of this world. I almost don't even bother looking at Ebay anymore. People will spend as much new on a piece of used equipment and I don't get it. I've had good luck buying used equipment locally from private sellers face-face or yard sales. People are paying the prices, but I think this is bad money management on the buyer, when something new can be had for the same price. I know a lot of people don't like dealing on Ebay anymore because its such a hassle dealing with the masses.

Ebay and Facebook remind me of...

I saw a ICOM 718 for $700.00 that,s a bit over what they go for new ,I think. But as they say you can price as high as you want , what you sell it for is another thing . We see the high price never the price it sold for . The over pricing is what,s driving the prices up it,s sure not the QUALITY .

For some reason price gouging is rampant right now. Used cobra 29ltd's for $200 (they are $100 new), $300 and up for regular old cb radios, oops im sorry "rare vintage". Gimme a break. I blame the idiot people paying these prices for driving the cost up

Just for curiosity sake i looked around at alot of different areas of things, from cameras & accessories, to general electronics, music instruments, household items, houses, gas etc. It's a plague right now. Price gouging on used items for higher than new retail is going to be the norm for along time im afraid. I dont know what is going on with all this product shortage, price hikes etc but i know one thing. It aint the covid like they tried to have us believe in the beginning. Im just making smart moves, smart purchases and value what i have. Im guessing this is going to go on for at least a few more years, or until the government starts a new pandemic

I think a lot of folks are waking up to the socialists, maybe that's the wrong word, I should say becoming aware of the small percentage of people who seem to hate America (United States). CCN's latest startup failure I hope is a sign of things to come, along with Musk's offered buyout of twitter.
Sorry to get political, but that's the root of it all.
