was working fine till i got my new dosy meter,hooked it up to check swr and couldnt get it to set.thought the meter was defective so i hooked the 2510 to it and could set and check swr no problem.went back to the rci and noticed there was a slight arcing sound when keyed up.upon further investigation the power will drop and a hiss/buzz sound is coming through when the amp is on(has a switch in the back to turn it off) barefoot the radio works fine.is there anything i should look for(cold joints,burnt parts ect) or is it fried and needs a new amp unit? someone said if i burn out the pills in it that it would be a good time to upgrade them to a better pill.anyone care to elaborate on that?
