I am trying to figure out what the part number is for IC 8 in a galaxy 959 or a galaxy 979, or a connex Saturn CX - 33. These have five pens/legs going to the board. However, all schematic show a ten pin, different device. I need to know what this is so I can order some more. Anyone have an idea?

The TA7222AP is a ten pin device found in early versions of the 959.
The TDA2003 is a five pin device found in the later versions of the 959.

Did you take the cover off of the radio and look at it and see what you have yet?

I have some of the newer radios that use the tda2003 5 pin chips in them. if yours shows 2004 on it not sure what one it is. call radio supply since they are the distributor for RCI here in the US. I checked what pins outs I have in my radios and it is the 5 pin and I have some in my parts bin. the 2003 has been used for some time now. the older ones used the 7222.

for some reason all the links on RCI's web site is down.

I am sure that it is the same chip. However, no schematic actually shows that device in the circuit for a dx959 or 979
