A while back I hooked up my PC sound card to the Icom 746 pro using the acc1 port. I installed 1:1 isolation transformers inline of both the TX and RX lines to eliminate a ground loop. I noticed today when keying on AM and monitoring myself that I was getting a lot of popping and interference in the radio. I turned off the computer and it went away. Then I disconnected the computer connecting cable and it went away. Any ideas on how to eliminate this problem?

ok, I figured it out. The master volume on the sound card was maxed out and it was causing feedback on the radio, even though I'm using line out. I turned down the master volume to an appropriate level and the mess went away. DOH!

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
