HRO has listed the new Icom IC-9100 price today and is now taking orders - $3,799.95!

That price is without the 1.2Ghz module ($649.95) and the D-Star option ($219.95). Based on the feature set, it's obvious that Icom is going after the operator who is serious about satellite work and also wants a good quality HF rig without having to purchase separate rigs. It will be interesting to see how the market reacts to this pricing.

WHOA!!!!

Guess this will keep the time tested Kenwood TS-2000 going for quite a while now. Though I own one I just wish it had a quieter HF receiver.

Incoming Region Produces X3 Solar Flare
    May 15, 2024 @ 14:55 UTC
Another major solar flare, but this time from an active region just beginning to turn into view off the east limb. It is possible that the group responsible is old AR 3654 from the previous rotation. The latest flare, an X2.99 event just peaked at 14:38 UTC (May 15). Stay tuned
