It has come to our attention that counterfeit ICOM transceiver IC-V8 and its accessories such as battery pack and charger are being sold in some areas and countries. Some of them look almost identical to genuine ICOM products.
It has been reported recently that these products are also being sold through internet shopping sites at very low price.
We have evaluated some of these products and have found that they have poor performance that never complies with ICOM's quality standards and these transceivers, battery packs and chargers may even cause safety problems.
Please be aware of these counterfeit products. We are working with law enforcement agencies to battle counterfeit makers, but it is very difficult to get rid of them and counterfeit products from the market completely.
We strongly recommend that you buy ICOM products from ICOM authorized dealers/distributors to make sure to get genuine products. Please be advised that ICOM is not responsible, and will not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from the use of counterfeit products.
