I am looking into buying into this D-Star radio because I was Up grading from a 2 meter olny rig. Pricing for the D-Star radio was not much more and I don't need to have cross band or two receive at once. I want to connect the new Icom to my computer and see it has a program port that should be nice for well programing the radio. I am interested in the data port and what I can use it for Do I need anything between the computer and radio on the data port for D-Rats and D-Chat etc I know I would need a TNC for regular 2 meter analog or sound card interface. Thanks.
