anybody else have this rig? I have had mine 2 days now and absoultely love this rig!! The front firing speaker is awesome, great powerful tx and great rx.

The only thing I didnt like about it was the programming but I got used to it finally.

I am planning on getting one for the pickup now.

I have had two of those and you are right, great radios. I bought the programming disc and cable which made it real easy to program the units.

I just got rid of a yaesu dual bander, no 440 activity here and I wanted another Icom and liked the extra power.

a bit pricey
but works great

I talk to several around my area that use the 8000 and all of them like the unit and it sounds great on my end as well.

I wouldnt mind having one

I own two Icom V8000 and love them too. I am going to buy the progamming software.

I have one almost a year now and love it. You are right, it is hard to program at first. I almost did not get my IC-7000 because of the programming, thought it would be as bad but it is very easy.
