So I got one of these and I'm very impressed with the performance. Has much better RX audio out the on board speaker than my 1st 5K. Power on VHF/UHF is said to be upped to 7 watts from 5 but I have no way to test that. RX AM/FM/USB from 18.0 ~1.3G as stated. AM Air Band RX is terrific.
The Sideband may be Double Sideband and not just USB only with manipulating LSB/USB by slight +/- freq. adjustment ..... I'm going to test that out and will report back. Overall great deal for $45 !
