We hit 70 degrees here in Nova Scotia today. Tonight it's going to dip all the way down to 55 degrees. 
God it makes me feel good to rub that in. It happens so rarely that I get a chance too.

Actually we are unseasonably warm right now. We have a storm system passing through bringing about six inches of rain or more over today and tomorrow and that's why we are warm right now. Actually, being here on the coast we have warmer than normal winters and cooler than normal summers as compared to inland areas of the same latitude.I live exactly halfway between the North Pole and the equator here at 45 degrees. Summers rarely get above 85-87 degrees and the winters rarely get below minus 5-10 at night and very rarely below zero for a daytime temperature. I don't know if I could handle that minus 40 in the winter and plus 100 in the summer kind of stuff.

i spend my summers in TN and the winters in FL (south of you in the charlotte harbor area) no, i'm not a snowbird, i'm actually a real fl resident that got tired of the 3h's (heat,hurricanes,humidity).
we were kinda playing it by ear as to when we will head south. it won't be long ,..... it's gonna freeze again tonite:w00t:
time for this florida boy to get back down there
i think the clue to that is in the word scotland.
i believe scotland is a gaelic word,translated to english it means hypothermia.
just to give you an idea how cold scotland is, i just watched a polar bear and penguin walk down my street with bermuda shorts,shades and suitcases heading for a warmer climate.
