Imax 2000 power rating?

Anyone knows how many "real watts" could handle this antenna before being burned?
I think at least 1K, or maybe i´m wrong.

Some claim the it can handle 750 watts PEP (see the eHam link above).
I never run more than a 100 watts PEP through mine

There's no such a thing as RMS watts,RMS is used to measure voltage and current,when both these RMS measurements are multiplied the resulting wattage would be average watts.

i put 1100 threw mine in real watts no pep 5x1446s and 4x811as on ssb.no problem running this way for 9 years.

I ran 800avg (about 2.2kw pep) through the one I had for a couple of years. I traded it local 4 years or so ago and that guy is still using it.

Fine, 700 - 800 watts is my current power, so there's no problem.

Way to go there Rob, "100 watts", that's why I like talking to you down there, none of this 300-400 watts to get out like so many other guys have to use.

I bought my Imax 2k new but I dont remember what it said it will handle but a local here said it will handle 5kw....
