My Cobra 139 XLR has a loose NB/anl. is there any way to improve the NB/ANL in the 858 chassis?

unit_399/'JJ' is one of the 858 gurus here.
So is 'AudioShockwav', Exithirteen, couple others.

As a guess, there should be a two tuning coils to fine tune the NB. That is, if the 858 boards are anything like many other Uniden/Cobra. Receive alignment would probably help too . . .

I second what robb said. If you do a search you may find a few thread s out there on the 858 chassis, including some of mine and the ones I posted in.

There us a resistor in that circuit, which you can increase the value to help the nb/anl. But, you would need to be sure the circuit itself is ok. I dont remember what resistor number it is offhand.

I am on my phone so searching is a pita

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
