Inexpensive Wattmeter

I'm looking for a inexpensive wattmeter, to lower my deadkey on a Eagle base I've bought. I've found the schematics and pots to do the adjustments. Now I need a wattmeter, I just don't want to spend alot of cash, and I already have a quality SWR meter. I need something that will read a maximum of maybe 100-300 watts. Preferably close to $100 if possible.

Is a wattmeter what I need to do this job?

I've built some electronics kits so I'm kind of familiar with boards. I'd like to learn how to adjust DK and Swing.

Thank you for your suggestions.

See if you can find a Yaesu YC-60, they're accurate, and also read peak fairly accurately.

yes they are i have i have a set myself and i like them also the dosy TC 4001 are nice and they cost $83.00 out of C O P P E R ELECTRONICS

You might also look at the Palstar meters. They sell for about $119.95 and are very accurate for the money. I've compared them to a Bird 4391 and was impressed with the value. I believe they were also reviewed by QST and found to be the only active peak reading meter in that price range.

If your not gonna use it much the radio shack power swr meter is decent for the price. Might be all you need
