IRF520 options


Well, if a 30w final draws about 2.75 amps; then a 60w final would need to draw twice that.
How much is the typical regulator rated for?

If it works; then let's hear about it . . .

You're losing me. Both devises are designed for a 50w circuit, according to the data sheets ..... you read those, right? Absolute maximum is 48w on one, and 60w on the other, so I'm not sure what 30w transistor you're talking about.
 
Well, I've determined that although there does seem to be some electrical differences, the PbF device is basically an IRF520NPbF ........... Pb=lead/F=Free.
