I got one plus a k 40 and a power supply for 15.00 yesterday. Im trying to find any vrs to turn the ssb and am up a tad, but nothing to be found. .

I found the vrs.. Am seems pretty good, but ssb im only getting about 6 to 8 out. Should be a tad more since its a 40 ch.
And before anyone chimes in about caps and it's an old radio, yes I realize this and ill probably change them out.

One thing that seems kinda odd to me is the order in which the adjustments are listed. The ALC is set to 12w in step 3, and then in the last step, it says turn ALC to minimum and adjust the cans.
I am not familiar with that radio, but I would sure think that the ALC setting should come after the cans are peaked.
