jc penny 6248 variable alignments?


hey thanks i got it working but this helps with the clairifier mod and alighnment which is no prob with this info this radio is basicly new never seen a 6248 in this good of shape
 
Just lock in the clarifier if you really want to, but don't add a "super diode" or a choke in series with the varactor. It will be impossible to fine tune that way. Usually all clarifiers can be locked in by disabling the TX voltage to the fixed TX frequency adjustment, and then removing the RX source from the claifier which is switched on for RX only and moving it to a stable constant voltage source.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
