My beef is not so much with standardizing a method of determining power out such as ERP etc and see no reason for it really. just market products with REAL power ratings and not simply "maximum legal limit". In the case of contesting then why limit foreign amateurs to USA power limits when USA amateurs are not limited to foreign limits. It is truly impossible to enforce or even expect it to be enforced so why not allow whatever your country allows. That is the simple answer.
