I have been reading a lot of threads about the Sirio Antennas verses the Wilson Antennas ... The Sirio 5000 is now on sale (WEB Special) for 49.95 so I thought at that price I would give it a try.

-Specials

*The H&Y advert says that it is 5.5 ft in length. That must be a typo/error. If you look at the Sirio webpage, you will see that it is 1965mm long - which converts to 6.45 ft in length.

,Sirio P5000

*Does that price include the mag mount? Ad doesn't say. This situation can only be solved with a phone call - IMO.

*I wouldn't believe the power handling specs as given for this antenna. However, I'll bet that it will handle 500 watts if installed properly.

You are correct as the length is 6.45 ft. I will be using my Wilson Mag Mount. My power will not exceed 175 watts so power is not an issue. After a lot of reading I have come to the conclusion there is no perfect antenna. ;) So after reading lots of antenna threads I decided for the price to give the Sirio a shot. Time will be the judge. :thumbup1:

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
