From what I read,the ones he is selling are the most current ones Brand new,I had read somewhere online that when the 878 first came out,the first production run had some problems or so I read.............

I like the looks of them. Sometimes, the audio won't satisfy you, but you can swap elements easily.

D-Rail in GA modifies the circuit in them for more fidelity. I used a modified 878 with one of D-Rail's modified hifi Stryker's and it sounded great.

Just ordered a brand new astatic 878DM for my base station, pretty good price I thought off eBay,looking forward to getting it on Friday!!!

I had that mic for a short time on my 2995 and the "tiny" modulation adjuster on the bottom was a PITA, but I managed. Later I purchased DELTA M2 and everyone told me the M2 sounded much better than the 878. Also, I like the A/C power adapter on the M2 because you don't have to be concerned about batter life.

I have a 2995dxcf and put a Delta M2 on it with good reports. Also put a good old Astatic D104 on it with good results.
