KB9VBR Antenna

Has anybody used the KB9VBR copper J poles? Specifically the 2 m/ 440? If so what do you think of them? Any issues? Any positives?
I have not used one made by him, but have always heard good things about them. My local club usually puts on a class a couple times a year, and we make the knock off of the Arrow J pole for about 25 bucks. It's a pretty solid antenna, and performs very well. Plans are out there to build one yourself, but it helps keep the cost down if parts are bought in bulk.

Back in the mid 90's my buddy and I made a couple copper pipe J poles in his dad's garage. These were made from plans a local Elmer passed down to us kids. They were strictly for 2m. My buddies was up 25ft mine was about 50ft up. They worked better than we expected. Plenty of info online i would imagine... could make your own..

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
