Is there any 11 meter mod frequency expansions for the Kenwood 180S I found a deal on one for $200.00 with powersuply external 2nd VFO and other attachments.

The answer to your question lies in ......

The Matrix.... BwaHaaHaaaHaaa ! ! !

Too bad I can't put an echo on that..

The band-select frequency in that radio is generated by a PLL. The input bits that set the band are part of a circuit board full of diodes. Service data calls it the "Matrix Board". Band switch feeds into it, band-select bits come out.

Only has about 40 diodes on it. Probably wouldn't have to change more than a half-dozen of them to move the 28 and 29 bands down a couple of MHz. It would probably also call for some realignment, too.

Never have seen detail showing how to do this. Anywhere.
