Has anyone done an 11 meter mod on the kenwood 830?? any info Thanks.

Such a beautiful Kenwood classic radio to hack for 11m. :sad: All I can say is it involves replacing a 10m crystal and loosing part of the 10m band as a result. You also have to move the 10m tap on the tank coil and maybe the driver coil as well. The AUX position on the bandswitch is for RX only.I have the TS-820S and will NEVER mod it for 11m or anything else even the WARC bands.

Yea, thats cool someone wanted to trade for my cobra 2000 so was wondering if it had 11 meter like the yaesu 101s. Thanks.

That sounds like an odd trade to me. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.
