Such a beautiful Kenwood classic radio to hack for 11m. :sad: All I can say is it involves replacing a 10m crystal and loosing part of the 10m band as a result. You also have to move the 10m tap on the tank coil and maybe the driver coil as well. The AUX position on the bandswitch is for RX only.I have the TS-820S and will NEVER mod it for 11m or anything else even the WARC bands.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
