can you get a better speaker for this handheld? I am sure it is operating properly but I have to run it at 3/4 volume. Just checking to see if any aftermarket's are available. I really don't want to use one on the speaker jack.

I've never seen a speaker replacement. Did you check the speaker balance setting between the two VFO's?

How about a speaker mic? I don't have a current Knwd HT but I used to use the Knwd commercial grade speaker mics on mine. The last Knwd HT I had was a TH-D7A and the commercial mics worked great with it.

Thanks, I got the same suggestion to use a speaker mic from kenwood.
The volume levels are fine. I was just thinking a speaker with a stronger magnet may help.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
