Iv Decided that since the Yaesu 7900 is just about the same price as a TMV71A, I might as well go with the Awesome Kenwood rig. Couple of Questions.

1) Does the base and face use the CAT5 type connectors?
2) Does the mic use smaller RJ45 connectors?

Because, i installed separation kit in the mobile for the Yaesu FTM-350AR. ( all wiring under the carpet) i would just hate to have to pull it out for the kenwood tmv71a.
I wonder if the kenwood might be a better choice on the base with a base mic which is $149 ( not too bad).

Down load the manual from Kenwood. That should answer a lot of your questions.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
