Kenwood TS-430 +8V supply rail to microphone socket

If you ever want to use a powered microphone on a TS-430, normally it would require it's own 8-9V supply (Batteries).

I have found that Connector 22 pin 3 (Grey Wire) on the VOX Control PCB has a +8V supply. (I did not trace the circuit to find it's source but have done this mod & it worked fine for me).

Simply run a wire from the pin mentioned, down to the back of the 8 pin mic socket & connect it to the free pin on the top (RHS looking from the bottom) PIN 5, which just so happens to be the standard Kenwood +8V Pin on all Kenwood 8 pin mic's. eg. MC-60A, MC-80 etc.
