Keydown Time

How much keydown time will a 400 amp motor maul and 4 Deka yellow top batteries give me? I am keying a 8Pill plus a driver box. I have a 200 amp alternator that will run the car and the maul. Plan to key at a steady 15volts.

You should be fine.. I know guy's that run BIGGER AMP'S that talk all day with less. You can run 2 batteries and still have a lot of power left over. The hold thing about MAUL'S is less batteris and alternator's to use. Your Alternator of 200 amp's is just fine also.. If you think about your not going to talk all that much anyway.. Even the guy's that are on the Super Bowl Channel's 6 & 20, & 28 don;t talk that much. Hope this help's..

Why run the driver off the maul? You could just connect it to the vehicle power and only run the maul when the big amp is on....
