Why does my KLV550 only put out around 250 watts and no more.
I am driving it with a cobra 25 ltd dk at 2 watts and swings to 15 watts.

Hay Oldtimer, because your KLV 550 is 550 watts PEP d.i input, so your output with 250 watts is more than oke with the drive you have !!

I have one of those sitting here I was thinking about posting again I just dont use it I have numerous other amplifiers I really dont need that base amp I dont use it although it is a nice amplifier and has never failed me I was going to let the kids run it for 10 meters on there bench but they have been using a different setup.
What your seeing is correct the one here I believe was 250-300 out on AM
