Lamps for a Pearce-Simpson Bengal

They're 12v lamps. Here's the link to the ones I buy from Radio Shack:

12V/25mA Miniature Lamps - RadioShack.com

You can use 12v LED lamps. They sell pretty cheap in bulk on Ebay from China sellers... usually about $5 per 10.

Did you ever get a mic working with the Bengal?

SP

Thank you for the reply. One light is clear and the other should be red. There are two behind the meter. When receiving the clear is on when you transmit the red lights up.

No mike, going to have to buy one. but receives well.

I know. There's two bulbs... red and clear... behind the meter. Radio Shack sells the 12v red lamp as well. Here is the link:

12V Snap-In Red Lamp Assembly (2-Pack) - RadioShack.com

These old radios are about as good as they get from the 70s. The Bengal uses a Uniden chassis and is basically the early first generation version of the Uniden Washington. Doesn't get much better than that :)

Thank you for your help, jopcobra89.

I have a Pearce Simpson Lynx 23 in mint condition that a buddy gave to me, I had it aligned by Bill Nadzam, he said that he never saw one so pristine.
Unfortunately, I have only had it on long enough to do a sound check.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
