I worked Jan (pronounced "Yahn") on 15m today at 1420Z. I decided to fire up the old TS-820S and see if it still worked. It's been idle for about two years as has most of my gear. The antenna was a simple 80m doublet fed with 450 ohm ladder line and he gave me a real 5-8 to 5-9 with beautiful audio. Of course the audio was great! It was a classic Kenwood! :D

Can't wait to get the antennas up on the new tower now. I may just say the hell with 2m and 6m for the winter and not bother stripping the old tower and just get on with getting all the HF stuff up. The only problem is that I will have to take them down in order to put the 2m and 6m up next year.

Nice grab to the Baltic Sea!

Decisions, Decisions. I guess it just depends on the weather.

single digits already. ooh not ready for that, i still enjoying this indian summer we are having.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
