anyone try this one? this guy on youtube made one with 1/2wave elements with 1/2wave spacing which is the traditional way to go about it. I currently run doublets with 5/8wave elements so what i am thinkin is to preserve my footprint on the map, im gonna do a center feed, 3/8 wave LL feeds to the common point, and use 5/8wave elements and letting my tuner and 4:1 balun at the window do the work of correcting any mismatch that may occur on the antenna or 450ohm LL. hoping this will squeeze more of my juice towards the horizon to pull in australia more from new england.

on the one im building im feeding it in the center instead of doing a twisted phase line. makes it more broadband where a tuner will handle it, and i guess improves power transfer.

that w8jk is pretty neat. it appears that both directors do double duty as reflectors if my instincts are correct. a yagi spacing is roughly 1/8~
