The Dakotas
I have begun setting up a station recently and have been digging through boxes and messes from years ago in attempt to find stuff. Today I found the polyphaser I used to use on my camper in North Dakota. This thing was installed for a few years, but not actually used much.

Put a new slug in it, or replace the whole thing?

Just replace the arrestor inside. They were made to be easily replaced after a strike.
Is the whole endcap the contact, or is it just the center pin? Just curious if the hole in the conductor might increase the gap and raise the voltage it takes to arc out. I’m guessing not, but I don’t really even know what it is or how it actually works.

  • @ Hambones amps:
Does anyone know if you can replace the 2290 in a galaxy dx 93t twin turbine with a 2sc2879 red dot? If so, what would have to be tuned?
  • @ ShadowDelaware:
Hambones the entire amp section would have to be retuned, and the rf transformers re wrapped.
