LNR 11m End Fed Dipole

Hello!

I finally got my https://www.lnrprecision.com/manuals/ Dipole up.

I took it out of the box (I live on a top floor) and configured it as an inverted L and hopped on the radio.

1.4 SWR without any mods, and my local group said it sounded better than my good ol' stand by Big Stick ½-wave vertical.

I'm going to take 1" off it tonight to see if I can get the SWR better matched. I'm amazed and love this thing!

Still gonna use my attic end fed while I'm working on my 20 meter hamstick ground-mounted vertical with four 12.5' wire radials. :p
 
Jim: Why 12.5' radials?

Gary, I had two 25' rolls of copper wire and simply cut each in half. :whistle::D

I decided that number (4) and length (12.5') would be worth trying after studying this 2-page document from the gentlemen at Ventenna detailing how they chose the number/length of radials for their HFp 20 meter ground-mounted vertical:
