LNR 11m End Fed Dipole

Hello!

I finally got my https://www.lnrprecision.com/manuals/ Dipole up.

I took it out of the box (I live on a top floor) and configured it as an inverted L and hopped on the radio.

1.4 SWR without any mods, and my local group said it sounded better than my good ol' stand by Big Stick ½-wave vertical.

I'm going to take 1" off it tonight to see if I can get the SWR better matched. I'm amazed and love this thing!

I agree 1.4 is good. If you feel you have change it, just fold over the end and tape it at desired length.

Possibly if you try to get it lower you will go past the resonant point.

Gary, I had two 25' rolls of copper wire and simply cut each in half.

I decided that number (4) and length (12.5') would be worth trying after studying this 2-page document from the gentlemen at Ventenna detailing how they chose the number/length of radials for their HFp 20 meter ground-mounted vertical:
