Look at this goofy thing

i have been using one in the suv for a couple weeks now, it is working great, and ssb stability is awsome, i can go out it the morning 10*f and turn the radio on and its ready to go dead on frequency, been talking all over with the great europe openings, got wales , italy, france today no problem on my lunch break, it is a noisy radio if you are in town, but once you get on the hwy its very quiet. i have a band set up with 5khz channels, i havent had to even touch the clarifier!!

the ssb temp freq stability has me sold on it for the mobile use!

It looks like it's looking back at you. Those windows are kinda strange. I do like the looks of the rig. They just need to improve the board some.

Still waiting to see what the AT-6666 is all about.

A guy on another forum in Australia bought one and tore it completely down and did a few stability mods to it and he likes it very well. he spent about 1 week just going completely through it and changed a few items and he likes it very well. he does all his radios this way when he 1st gets them.

I would rather have a well aligned 29xx series instead of the current Anytone or CRE offerings. The Maxlog suffers from the same issues as the above mentioned rigs.

Don't get me wrong, but I did like my Anytone and CRE. They just suffer from processor or mixer noise that is a wee bit excessive. Both of my radios were stock. Maybe if they had a proper alignment, they may be a little quieter.

Anyways, I anxiously awaiting some first hand accounts of the AT-6666.
